written by Sara C.As many people with no taste may know, Sarah Jessica Parker and company are in the middle of filming
Sex and the City II, set for release in 2010. She is 16 hands high.
The character Carrie (played by Parker) prances around in various stirrups, halters and leathers, spending much of the time grooming and being ridden.
Her love interest on the show, "Mr. Big", was given the nickname "Mr. Big" in jest, as obviously he is rather large for a jockey, and is to be read as tongue-in-cheek.
Most jockeys weigh in between 108 and 118 pounds. His size represents the problems that continue to plague their relationship.
It has been mentioned by many unknown sources that the movie should perhaps be released in 2014, as it is the year of the Horse, which would bring good luck for the film, according to chinese horoscope (which has no scientific value whatsoever).
I'd like to quote a portion of the Horses'
Chinese Horoscope from this site if I may: "You have to have patience with Horses because they don’t like routines and are very egocentric and seldom care about other people's problems."
It has been rumored by no one that
the character Carrie was inspired by Secretariat, who won the first U.S. Triple Crown in 25 years. The character took a departure from it's inspiration when it was taken out past retirement. Secretariat was only contracted to race for 3 years.
Secretariat could not be reached for comment. (He was euthanized on October 4, 1989)
